5356 ALUMINIUM

High quality 5356 grade aluminium MIG welding wire. Contains 5% magnesium. It is typically chosen because of its relatively high shear strength. The 5356-alloy base material has a weld pool chemistry greater than 3% Mg and service temperatures in excess of 65C. 5356 gives a high strength weld deposit with very good crack resistance. Corrosion resistance is very good especially in a marine atmosphere.
